Adolescence Mental Health Workshop & Counselling Sessions
Connection and relationship is such a vital component to your teenager’s mental health and never has it been so important to to take steps to improve or enhance this.
I offer one-to-one counselling for teens age 13+ and it was during this work I truly understood this concept. When appropriate, bringing the parent or parents into the therapy room created the most profound shifts and it was evident even before this intervention that the parent / teen relationships was the most important vessel for change in the teenager’s life who sat before me.
I also offer a parent / teen workshop to offer you both the tools that could help you avoid some common pitfalls and enhance your relationship to improve mental health and self-concept.
Gabor Maté has written many books and given many talks on the fundamentals of the parent / teen and mental health and explores this concept in great detail. In my approach I hold some of Gabor’s approaches along with my training in Transactional Analysis and experience working with both parents and teens.

Workshop FAQs
Can I bring two teens or two parents? This workshop has been designed to focus on a one-to-one relationship and not a family / group dynamic so for this reason only one teen and one parent can attend. You are welcome to come back with your other teen / parent another time.
Do we need to bring anything? Bring a water bottle, everything else will be provided for you.
Will there be a break? Yes, there will be a 5 minute comfort break for the 2.5 hour session and a 10 minute break for the 3 hour session
Will I have to share my thoughts or feelings? You may have ‘ahaa!’ moments or realisations which you are welcome to share but this is not counselling or therapy, you do not have to share in order to benefit from this workshop.
How do we book? You can use the contact form, email, text or call to book, find out more or discuss availability.
